Whatsapp is the most popular Messaging platform that is used by billions of people across the world. Whatsapp has become very popular because of its attractive and striking features like cross-platform messaging service, Online media sharing, Free Messaging service, voice calling etc. Most of the smart phone users like for iPhone, BlackBerry, Android, Windows Phone and Nokia are fascinated towards whatsapp messenger as it provide innovative and amazing features. We spend a lot of time daily on whats app. We may be using mobile data or WiFi for accessing whats app in the smart phone. But all we need is the minimization of data consumption.
Recently a new sim card was launched only to use WhatsApp without having Intenet connection. This sim card was called as “WhatSim“. It was the idea of Manuel Zanella (38years old), Founder and CEO of “Zeromobile”,an Italian based company.
Manuel Zanella Rngineer in an interview said,
“WhatsApp is the future of mobile communications. Its only “limit” is the data connection especially when you are traveling because the roaming charges are expensive and you can’t always find Wi-Fi everywhere and it is not always free. As someone who appreciates and uses WhatsApp, I tried to figure out how to get around this problem. That’s why WhatSim is an extraordinary opportunity for WhatsApp.”
WhatSim costs around 10 EUROS (Rs 714/- apx.). It provides you unlimited text messaging for a year. Sharing of contacts, documents, location updates is free while you will have to buy credits for sharing multimedia messages such as videos, photos and voice messages. And this credit required depends on your location.
Zanella further explains about this,
“The solution we have developed is simple and intuitive. With €5 you get 1000 credits that you can use, for instance, to exchange 50 photos or 10 videos in many countries around the world. There are no limits to sharing your position and contacts. This way we guarantee the utmost transparency. Buying a recharge is quick and easy: just go to our website even from your smartphone and soon even from a dedicated app.”
The company is planning to launch this sim across the different parts of the world which includes almost 150 countries. It is also planning to make WhatSim available via “network of local distributors in over 100 countries.”
This is not the first time for us to hear about collaboration of social media company with a Telecom company. One year ago, Facebook did the same by collaborating with Reliance to provide the users unlimited data usage. But it doesn’t became a huge hit.
Thus you can use the whatsApp without internet and without the involvement of any trick or hack. But this may not be a successful as mobile data packages of various networks are available at lesser cost than this. It would be useful if this sim is available for users at a low cost.
